ATLAS OUTDOOR Sustainability Policy
Sustainability Coordination: One of our team members is designated the role of Sustainability Coordinator, responsible for implementing and monitoring our sustainability initiatives.
Eco-Friendly Products: We promote and use ecological products for our outdoor activities, including soaps, shampoos, and washing-up and laundry liquids that are 100% eco-friendly and locally manufactured in Morocco.
Sustainability Action Plan: We have a clear and actionable sustainability plan that outlines targets, measures, responsibilities, and time planning.
Staff Awareness and Commitment: All staff members are not only aware of our Sustainability Policy, but they are also committed to its implementation and ongoing improvement.
Reduction of Disposable Goods: We actively work to reduce our usage of disposable and consumer goods.
Paper Saving: Our copy and printing machines are set by default to double-sided printing, and we encourage other forms of paper-saving modes.
Non-Hazardous Cleaning Materials: We use cleaning materials that are non-hazardous, non-eutrophic, and biodegradable.
Energy Efficiency: Lights and equipment are switched off when not in use to save energy.
Water Bottle Reduction: We take action to reduce the number of non-refillable plastic water bottles for both office use and on our tours.
Recycling: We separate all recyclable materials and organize their collection and proper disposal.
Transport Selection: We prioritize sustainable transport options, considering factors such as price and comfort.
Support Local Businesses: We prioritize locally owned and managed accommodations and restaurants.
Promote Local Culture: We work with accommodations and restaurants that incorporate elements of local art, architecture, or cultural heritage, while respecting the intellectual property rights of local communities. Responsible Tourism: We ensure that none of our offered excursions harm humans, animals, plants, natural resources such as water and energy, or are socially and culturally unacceptable.
